Recently, the KALTIM-2 2x125MW coal-fired power station project in Indonesia, which was invested in and contracted by China Chengda Engineering Co., LTD., has successfully completed the first unit overhaul work. The power station was awarded "BEST PERFORMANCE POWER PLANT" by PLN, and the Slanvert intelligent solution has also received high praise from the owner.
As the largest coal-fired power station in China and Canada province, it’s efficient and stable operation not only guarantees local power supply but also provides strong impetus to Indonesia's economic and social development. Additionally, it builds a solid energy bridge for the friendship between China and India.
Despite challenges posed by the epidemic situation and complex external environment, Slanvert ensured successful completion of the unit overhaul task for the KALTIM-2 power station project with its excellent technical strength and professional service.
Following transformation, the unit demonstrated excellent performance with a 15% reduction in power consumption rate, approximately 4.8% decrease in carbon dioxide emission per unit electricity generation, a reduction of water replenishment rate from 4.5% to 2.72%, resulting in an annual saving of desalinated water reaching up to 15,000 tons. This undoubtedly reflects a strong commitment to environmental protection and energy conservation while laying a solid foundation for future high-load commercial operation (Data is from: The official website of Chengda Micro).
The KALTIM-2 power station project unit adopts a 400-ton/hour efficient coal-fired boiler along with a new generation of 125MW steam turbine generator that fully demonstrates "Made in China" core competitiveness. Given its exposure to harsh coastal environments, all equipment provided by Slanvert underwent special anti-corrosion treatment ensuring stable operation under severe salt fog conditions.
It is worth mentioning that Slanvert’s "pre-installed frequency conversion drive system" not only offers functional benefits but also enhances overall operational efficiency.
