SLANVERT: 9-Year Reliable Operation & Rapid Response Demonstrates Full-Lifecycle Service Excellence
Commissioned in October 2017, the SLANVERT 11 kV 500 kW medium-voltage variable-frequency drive (VFD) serves an induced-draft (ID) fan for a smelting production line in Chittorgarh, India. Before this incident, the unit had run continuously for nearly nine years with zero failures of core power components. As mission-critical power equipment for continuous production, it has endured heavy industrial loads and harsh on-site conditions, fully demonstrating SLANVERT’s outstanding product durability and reliability.
Recently, the VFD tripped on protective shutdown and disrupted customer production. Upon receiving the fault notification, SLANVERT immediately activated its full lifecycle emergency service mechanism. Through cross-regional collaboration, the team delivered fast, professional, and end-to-end technical support.

Day 1: Rapid Response & Remote Pre-Diagnosis
At around 17:00 on the day of fault reporting, SLANVERT set up a dedicated technical task force. Working remotely with the customer, the team collected fault codes, operation logs, and site feedback. Preliminary analysis identified an anomaly within the voltage sampling circuit. Meanwhile, the team guided the customer through on-site safety inspections and basic troubleshooting, laying solid technical groundwork for on-site repairs and shortening overall resolution time.
Day 2: On-site Arrival & Cross-Time Zone Technical Collaboration
SLANVERT local field engineers finalized spare parts preparation, tooling, and execution plans overnight and arrived at the Chittorgarh project site punctually at 09:32 the next morning. Working closely with SLANVERT’s China Technical Support Center, the team adopted a dual support model: on-site execution plus expert validation from headquarters. Every troubleshooting step was technically reviewed, achieving near-zero-delay cross-time-zone technical guidance.

Same-Day Restoration to Minimize Production Loss
A comprehensive on-site inspection confirmed root-cause damage to weak-current wiring external to the voltage sensor. Notably, all core power cells, main control modules, and drive subsystems of the VFD remained intact and in good working condition.

After fault-point cleaning, wiring repair, reinforced insulation protection, and complete functional verification, the VFD was successfully restarted in the afternoon of the same day and resumed normal operation, minimizing downtime-related losses for the customer.
This case testifies both to SLANVERT hardware reliability and well-established global service capability. After nearly nine years of continuous service, core components maintained stable performance; the failure was limited to aging of peripheral auxiliary circuits. This validates the ample design margin and strict manufacturing quality control of SLANVERT medium-voltage VFDs for long-term complex industrial applications.

It also reflects SLANVERT’s commitment to full-lifecycle service. Our service scope covers commissioning, daily operation guidance, preventive maintenance consultation, emergency troubleshooting, and subsequent upgrade solutions. Even for long-service units, customers can access standardized, timely, and consistent technical support to maximize total life-cycle equipment value.
Nine years of uninterrupted stable operation stand as solid proof of SLANVERT product quality. Cross-time-zone rapid response and same-day recovery embody our service promise. Going forward, SLANVERT will keep delivering robust industrial drive solutions and comprehensive full-lifecycle services for global customers, creating lasting value together with worldwide partners.
